I'm obsessed with clapping rhymes

You know, the grade school songs and chants that the girls all know? I've been searching for information on the web, but nobody seems to have done any linguistic research on where the rhymes originate. My favorite has always been Miss Lucy had a Steamboat, which you may know as "Miss Suzy", depending on where you grew up. (Liz Phair also did a cover on the rare Girlysound demos).

While researching, I found a collection of children's songs which includes stuff like "Comet, it makes your mouth turn green!" and "found a peanut."

I love the Gameboy digital camera. This guy Benjamin has chronicled his life (well, November and December 1999) using it. It's a great digital camera because it comes out very grainy and makes everyone look sexy and gritty. I bought one for my brother for Christmas 98 and we had a fine old time playing the cheesy DJ game that comes with it.
